The Story Behind Status Accounting

Brenda Keomany began her accounting career in 1995 and opened her own practice in Washington in 2003. After relocating to Oregon in 2010, she continued building a business grounded in personal relationships and a genuine desire to help other business owners succeed.

Today, Status Accounting remains a family-rooted practice, with Brenda's daughter Alissa working alongside her and fellow accountant Citlalli Uribe. She is also Alissa's sister-in-law.

Over the years, the team has had the opportunity to work with businesses through different stages of their journeys—from getting established to navigating challenges and celebrating growth.

For Brenda, that continuity matters. It's about knowing the people behind the numbers and understanding what they're working toward.

Brenda Keomany

Owner, Lead Finance Strategist and Advisor

Brenda has worked in accounting since 1995 and founded Status Accounting in 2003. With decades of experience supporting business owners and nonprofit leaders, she brings more than accounting knowledge to the table—she helps clients understand their financial picture, navigate challenges, and make confident decisions.

As a financial strategist and advisor, Brenda enjoys looking beyond the numbers to identify opportunities for stronger systems, better processes, and sustainable growth. She believes the best client relationships are built on trust, open communication, and understanding the people behind the business.

Outside the office, Brenda enjoys reading. networking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Alissa Keomany

Accountant

Alissa has been an accountant with us since 2017, ever since she graduated from Clackamas High School. She studied at Portland Community College and obtained her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Accounting in 2021. In her free time, she loves to go on adventures with her family and pack of dogs!

Citlalli Uribe

Accountant

Citlalli has been with us since 2021. She started her career as an accounting intern in 2015 at the Standard Insurance Company. In 2019 she worked in the finance office at the Concordia University, working directly with the accounting, AR, and AP departments. She then transferred to University of Portland and got her bachelor's degree in 2024. Most of her free time is spent outdoors & reading books!

Chanté Salvon

Office Assistant

Chante helps keep Status Accounting running smoothly, coordinating client intake, scheduling, and the systems that support daily operations. From welcoming new clients to managing communications, and marketing. She works behind the scenes to create an organized, positive experience for both clients and the team. Outside the office, Chante enjoys spending time with family, exploring creative projects, and getting outdoors for walks and photography.
