1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging Status Accounting, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms govern all services provided, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, consulting, and related support.

2. Services Provided

Status Accounting provides bookkeeping and accounting support for businesses. Services may include transaction categorization, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and advisory support.

We do not provide legal advice or act as your attorney. Tax filing services are only included if explicitly agreed to in writing.

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide complete, accurate, and timely financial information

Grant access to necessary financial systems and documents

Review reports and notify us of errors promptly

Maintain responsibility for all final financial decisions

Failure to provide accurate information may impact the quality and accuracy of results.

4. Fees and Payment

Fees are based on agreed service packages or hourly rates

Payment is due according to the agreed billing schedule

Late payments may result in service suspension

All fees are non refundable once work has been performed

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with prior notice.

5. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality of your financial data. Your information will not be shared except:

As required by law

With your written consent

With trusted service providers necessary to deliver services

You are responsible for securing your own login credentials and access points.

6. Data and Record Retention

We may retain financial records and workpapers for internal purposes. You are responsible for maintaining your own official financial records.

7. Limitation of Liability

Status Accounting is not liable for:

Errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate client data

Decisions made based on financial reports

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services during the prior three months.

8. No Guarantee of Outcomes

We provide accurate and professional bookkeeping services. We do not guarantee financial outcomes, profitability, or tax results.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate services at any time with written notice.

Upon termination:

Outstanding invoices become immediately due

Access to systems and files may be revoked

Final deliverables will be provided based on completed work

10. Independent Contractor Status

Status Accounting operates as an independent contractor. Nothing in this agreement creates a partnership, employment relationship, or joint venture.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.

12. Updates to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updates.

13. SMS Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Status Accounting, LLC related to account notifications, service updates, appointment reminders, and relevant business communications. Message frequency may vary.
